OK got it working by uninstalling the AMD drivers provided by Ubuntu and installing the AMD drivers directly from AMD's website. Has anyone gotten this game to work with Ubuntu 14.04 with an AMD graphics card? I just borrowed a AMD Radeon HD 7970 and placed it in the above system and I'm still having the exact same problem. Has anyone else encountered this? How did you get it to work? I tried fullscreen, windowed at various resolutions, various levels of detail, with and without AA, with high and low detail. With the AMD drivers it starts normally, sound works but the graphics are corrupted and the game is not playable at all. With the open source driver, the game just quits before it even starts. I tried all available AMD drivers on 14.04: open source, AMD(14.501) and AMD updates(15.20). I validated my files 2 times and deleted options.txt to no avail. I have 8 gigs of ram, nothing is overclocked. I see extreme graphics corruption when using AMD A10-6800K Ubuntu 14.04 with or without AMD proprietery drivers. Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story and Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power each use a different version of the level editor, so levels made with one of these editors only work with that specific game. The editor will allow you to make your own custom levels and share them to others through the Steam Workshop - so even if modding is not for you, you can still download and play levels that other users have created!
